Ribbon Headbands

I wanted to make Taylor some headbands for Christmas but I wasn't exactly sure how to do it. I found some great tutorials here and here and decided to give it a shot. All you need are two hair ties and enough ribbon to fit around your head, and something to sew it together with.

You start by linking the two headbands together like this...

(I just used two different colors so it would be easier to see how to do this part)

Once you have the two hair ties together you take one end of the ribbon and loop it around one end of a hair tie, fold it under, and pin in place like this...
Once you have that side sewn down you determine how big you need it to be (or you can do this before by actually measuring) by "trying it on" and holding the other end in place. Once you determine how big you need it, you cut the ribbon and sew down the end just like you did the other side so that it looks like this...

Wahoo! You're done, wasn't that soo easy?
OR, you can add some other fun things like this...
Or this...Once you know what you're doing it only takes a few minutes and since they only cost about 0.25$ you can go crazy. See, I made all of these while Wes took a nap, and had still time left over to blog.

Those are so stinking cute and so easy!
Do you have a problem with them slipping off your head? I think I just have a weird head shape so head bands don't like me...but sheesh this would be so fun to try!
THanks for sharing.
